FREE TO BE ME! is an interactive workshop on gender awareness
for children and families

Join Miami Children’s Museum, in partnership with the YES Institute, for a fun-filled afternoon of informative discussion and
age-appropriate activities for children and parents alike.

Thursday, June 18th
11AM – 12 PM (5 – 7 year olds)
1PM – 2 PM (8 -10 year olds)
RSVP required as there are 25 people max per session

Children are growing up in a time where gender equality topics are prevalent in the media and among their peers. Youth often face a great deal of pressure when attempting to fit in and conform
to social expectations of masculinity and femininity.

Join us for an interactive and engaging conversation about gender stereotypes, authentic experiences of children, and what parents can do to champion welcoming and safe environments for young people.
