Visit sea turtle nesting grounds in the moonlight in 2021 with the Museum of Design and Science (MODS).
From spring to early fall, female sea turtles take an annual walk to teh same beach where they were born. They build nests, lay eggs and return back to the ocean. After incubating for 60 day, baby sea turtles hatch and crawl back into the sea.
The adventure begins at MODS with a presentation about turtles. After the presentation, the group will go to Fort Lauderdale Beach to the sea turtle nesting grounds. MODS can’t guarantee a nesting sea turtle will be spotted on every walk, but when it happens, it will be a nature wonder you will never forget.
